PARENTS AND TEACHERS FAQ

Anybody can watch Blello, but Blello's target demographic is children aged 5-12 years old.

My child wants to email Blello-who will be seeing and answering these emails?

The Blello email blello@coolbananas.org.nz is monitored by the Cool Bananas Team, who will not give out email addresses to any third party, or share the content of the emails in a way that would identify children without parental permission. If you would like to talk to one of the Cool Bananas Team about this futher please contact our office.

The videos available are property of Blello.tv. Only the story videos and values clips are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase a story video please contact us. However, all the Blello episodes will be logged and saved on the Blello website for you to watch as many times as you like in the future.

How is Blello funded?

Blello is funded by donations and video purchases. If you would like to support Blello you can make a one off donation online by visiting our givealittle page or visit the Cool Bananas Youthwork Trust support page for other options.

My child wants to know - where did the word Blello came from?

The Cool Bananas colours are blue and yellow. When you put the words blue and yellow together, you get something that sounds like ‘Blello’. We thought that was a pretty cool sounding word for our online digital classroom.

I have another question or comment about the website. How do I contact you?

You can contact the Cool Bananas head office here.

How do I keep my child safe while using the internet?

The Ministry of Education has a great website that many of the schools use, which gives parents and teachers great information regarding internet safety. Check it out at www.netsafe.org.nz.
